PARENTS AND FRIENDS ASSOCIATION
The 2007 committee members are:
PRESIDENT: Paul Hocking
VICE PRESIDENT: Bernadette Rahme
TREASURER: Donna Paton
SECRETARY: Gai Lambert
CCS PARENT REP: Christine Payne
A reminder that our
meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 8.00 pm in the
staffroom and everyone is welcome to come along and then join all
afterwards and share a cuppa.
We are looking to the parent body
for ideas and support as this is quite new and different to what we have
previously done.
P&F NEWS
Our 2008 fundraising efforts were a great success. We were able to donate $25,000 towards much needed air conditioning in C Block.
Suggested activities for 2009 will be geared towards community building. We are a small group but make a big difference in the College. 100% of any funds raised goes to projects
that benefit all students. A few suggestions being considered in 2009 are a Trivia Night, Garage Sale, Movie Night, Bus trip, Bowling Nights, etc.
A reminder that 2009 is our Jubilee Year and the Parent & Friend Association has been active in the College for the 50 years. We are looking forward to being
part of the various celebrations throughout the College in 2009. Please come along to a meeting this year. There are many opportunities to show
support and encouragement of our son's school life. This is a great opportunity to find out what is happening in the College and have a say in what
you would like to see happen.
Funds are raised each year for school projects and the support of parents in selling tickets and
participating in social activities is expected, otherwise the burden rests with a few willing
workers.
