The St Vincent de Paul Society is committed to actively and passionately speaking out against the causes of poverty and inequality. We as a College are involved in multiple St Vincent de Paul activities, including Vinnies Van, Winter Appeal and providing hampers at Christmas.

Caritas Australia

Caritas Australia is the international aid and development organisation of the Catholic Church in Australia. It supports long-term development programs in impoverished communities in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Indigenous Australia and the Pacific. Through the Caritas’ Project Compassion, St Dominic’s College chooses a country each year and issue to raise awareness and funds.

Harmony Day

Harmony Day is a Commonwealth Government initiative to develop a cohesive and accepting community. It reinforces what we at St Dominic’s already support; celebrating Australia’s cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. St Dominic’s College supports this ideal and celebrates this day each year with things like trivia, food stalls and an Assembly.

The Movember Foundation

As a single sex College, we take men’s health seriously, and support the Movember Foundation. Movember is the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year round. It addresses some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.
