Our boys had the privilege of learning from Khaled Sabsabi again this week for their second digital media workshop.

Students developed works inspired by Khaled’s practice and kaleidoscope patterning. Developed from photographs taken of homes in the Penrith region, the works explore ideas of the suburban sprawl, domestic life and the attachment to home as a dwelling of beauty, relaxation and contentment. The resulting works will be tiled together to form a large wall wallpaper design installation as part of an exhibition Future Home at Penrith Regional Gallery later this year.

This opportunity was made possible after securing a VADEA grant to finance the project in collaboration with Caroline Chisholm College.

I am extremely proud of the boys work and their level of commitment to this project.
