Great excitement has been happening in the art faculty at St Dominic’s of late –
After a long-awaited period of time and the purchase of a brand new kiln Visual Arts elective students have been sculpting using clay. We have had our first bisque firing with the ceramic vessels created by yr 10.
Year 9 Visual Arts students have been creating ceramic busts inspired by ideas of the theme Figuratively Speaking. The boys are very proud of their artworks and looking forward to glazing them and displaying the artworks at the annual Visual Arts exhibition in August.
