The under 13’s cricket team today won their semi-final match against Marist Eastwood, scoring 92 runs of their innings and managing to contain Marist to 67 runs of their 20 overs. Mitchell Shanahan and Ben Minney led the way with the bat, contributing over 60 of St Dom’s runs and putting pressure on Eastwood to have to make runs on what was a relatively slow field. St Dom’s knew the job was only half done and kept their fielding super tight, making Eastwood earn each and every run. An honourable mention must go to Aaron Barlow for taking 2 wickets for 2 runs and to Luke Meadham who ran out a player and manage to break a stump in the process.

The boys have played well as a team all season and have rightfully earnt their place in the grand final. However, the team know that they will need to bring their A game next week in order to be victorious. Good luck next week boys and enjoy the experience!
