As we look to celebrate Founders’ Week, we acknowledge the work of Blessed Edmund Rice and the Christian Brother’s. It was the foreword thinking of Br J. Healy, Provisional Leader of the Christian Brothers, who in 1958 agreed to establish a Christian Brothers school in the Penrith region. From this humble decision, St Dominic’s College commenced its journey of educating young men into gentlemen for the past 60 years.
The work of the Christian Brothers continues today and as members of the EREA community we have been entrusted with the ongoing work of both Blessed Edmund Rice and the Christian Brothers.
I encourage you to read Br Paul Oakley’s, President of the EREA Council, message for Blessed Edmund Rice Feast Day. Please click here to view message.
Blessed Edmund Rice … Pray for Us.
