On Saturday, 4 May (Star Wars Day) St Dominic’s participated in the Cancer Council’s annual Relay for Life at the Paceway in Penrith. The event was a great success, with hundreds of members from all over the Penrith community gathering to support the fight against cancer. Over the course of 24 hours (9am Saturday to 9am Sunday), thousands walked laps around the Penrith Paceway, with many people coming and going throughout the event.

St Dominic’s had great support from both its staff and students, whilst many family members and even past students turned up to help the cause. Overall, the College walked over 1200 laps, with Rice House (397) narrowly holding out Surawski (365) to win the event. The day was a great showcase for our College and the community spirit. A big thanks to everybody who made the effort to attend such a special and memorable occasion.
