On Friday, 23 August teachers and students from years 7 to 12 constructed cardboard structures at school, bearing the harsh winter’s night to raise awareness around homelessness. Students learned the struggles of homelessness and sleeping rough in the cold.

As a result, funds were raised and the generous 31 donations made by the Surawski House will enlighten the lives of those suffering from poverty and injustice. Blankets and sleeping bags were donated and will be gifted to the homeless and individuals struggling to stay warm on these harsh nights.

With donations slowly building  each year, the Surawski House hopes that in the future, more and more donations will develop to helping those in need.
