Buongiorno!
On Tuesday, 3 September, Year 9 Italian spent the day at SBS studios learning about the important work SBS does in reaching the diverse linguistic communities of Australia.
The students spent the morning with SBS Italian radio team Marco and Davide, followed by a tour of news and a current affairs, which included a tour of the television studios to learn how programs are put together and broadcasted.
Students then met the head of Translations and the role of external companies in translating content and providing subtitles to programs.
Finally students were interviews by SBS Italian about why they chose to study Italian and the national Languages Competition. Thank you to Frank Mathisen and the SBS Team for organising an insightful and enjoyable opportunity for the students.
