Founders’ Mass was held on Friday the 7th of May, during Founders’ Week. The Mass celebrates and honours the feast days of Blessed Edmund Ignatius Rice and St Dominic Savio. Due to the lifting of Covid restrictions the event was a whole College event celebrated in the hall with many students involved in readings and processions. During the mass, the College also held a presentation of House Badges to new staff, to further build our House spirit at the College, as well as a presentation of Service awards for staff who had been here for over 20 years.

The College would like to thank Fr Gregory Jacobs SJ for celebrating the mass with us and his ongoing support of the College. Although the congregation could not sing due to public health orders,  the College band and choir, led by Mr Wilson and Ms Ede, did an excellent job after not being heard for so long as well as our sound and lighting crew, led by Mr Hine,  who continually work behind the scenes to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

The Founders’ Mass has grown in the life of the College and provides a celebration that calls us to reflect on the lives of our Founders.
