Due to Covid-19 restrictions, lockdown and online learning we are unable to run the usual Vinnies Winter Sleepout at School.
However, this year St Dominic’s College will be participating in a Vinnies Family Winter Sleepout at Home on Friday, 27th of August (Week 7).
Statistics currently show an alarming increase in the instances of rough sleeping, as well as secondary and tertiary homelessness due to COVID-19. Therefore, we would like to encourage the families of St Dominic’s to come together and ‘sleep rough’ for one night to help to raise awareness about the realities of ‘living it rough’ and the complex issues faced by people experiencing homelessness.
