LIGHT THE NIGHT ONLINE SERVICE

Please join our community on Saturday, 16th October at 7pm for ‘Year 10 Lights the Night’, an event hosted by the Year 10 SRC.

Light the Night is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s event that is organised to raise awareness and funds to support patients undergoing treatment for blood cancer, as well as their families.

Participants purchase lanterns, relevant to their involvement, and at sundown walk side by side to build a better future.

Cancer is an insidious disease that will impact every single one of us in our lifetime, but together we can change this. Unfortunately this year, due to COVID 19, many events such as Relay for Life were unable to go ahead.

Year 10 would like to provide the opportunity for St. Dominic’s College families to come together at our Light the Night Online Service to acknowledge and show support for all of those people impacted by blood cancer.

Families are welcome to join Year 10 via video link and share, support and remember those loved ones impacted by Blood Cancer by lighting a coloured lantern or candle during the service.

The link to the event video will be posted in the Announcements section of Canvas for families that would like to be part of the service.
