As part of their English Common Module, ‘Texts and Human Experiences’, Year 11 Advanced completed a game as a reflection on Act 1 of ‘The Crucible’.

The students were each given a slip of paper that was either blank or had a dot, and they needed to work out who among them had a dot; forming alliances and accusing others in order to form the largest group without a dot. As a class, they then spent time reflecting on their emotions, motivations and actions throughout the experience and making connections to the human experiences portrayed within their text.
