Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you and your family are well and that the transition to online learning has been relatively painless as we hear the news that lockdown has been extended for a further two weeks. This means that the period of remote learning will continue until at least 30 July.
Along with the extension, there has also been additional restrictions placed on our community. In particular, to those who live or work in the highly impacted LGA’s.
St Dominic’s would like to reaffirm that we are here to support all students throughout these challenging times. Our staff, like all our families, are also finding these times difficult and I would like to thank everyone for their understanding and support of each other as we work towards providing the best online learning environment for our community.
With the increasing number of COVID cases, the safety of our community is our main priority, and our message must be consistent with Premier Berejiklian’s strong advice that everyone who can stay at home should stay at home.
In support of this advice, the College is working to minimise the number of staff on-site at school each day. However, supervision will continue to be provided at school for families who need this support (essential workers, vulnerable students, or those who are not at home and have no other supervision options). Please note that Busways has cancelled all school bus services until the end of July.
I encourage you to communicate with the College if there is any information you feel we should know about, including your family’s needs at this time. On behalf of all our dedicated staff, I want to thank you for your support as we work together to keep our communities safe and learning. We will continue to keep you updated as this situation changes.

Your Sincerely,
Mr M. Ronchetti – College Principal
