Manchester City Football School at St Dominic’s College

About the Program

Background

In 2024, St Dominic’s College are excited to be launching the Manchester City Football School.

The Manchester City Football School will provide authentic and creative football coaching programmes for students, utilising the coaching philosophy and methodology of Manchester City. We are one of only two schools in NSW and one of five in the country to offer this exceptional program.

St Dominic’s College Football School will run an elite football program, based at the college, delivered by a dedicated Manchester City resident coach utilising our expansive fields, with pitch 3 being dedicated to the program.

St Dominic’s College is thrilled to be chosen as one of only two schools in New South Wales, to partner with one of the world’s largest and most successful football clubs.

“The Manchester City Football School will be aligned with our core philosophies and values and St Dominic’s will leverage an established and globally acclaimed sporting curriculum, providing the College with unsurpassed access to exceptional resources, opportunities and coaching.

The Partnership with Manchester City and the integration of the Football School within our curriculum will provide unparalleled opportunities for not only our students but also for our wider community, including a dedicated program tailored for girls, with training programs run beyond school hours.

Starting in the 2024 academic year, the Man City Playbook will be applied in our students’ PDHPE lessons and football programs. Our St Dominic’s College Football Teams will be coached how to play the Man City way.

We will also have a Manchester City Football coach as part of St Dominic’s College full-time staff with role to:

  • Coach across the school with our co-curricular staff
  • Mentor our co-curricular football staff through accredited Man City coaching credentials.
  • Running the Manchester City Football School

It is an expectation that those students who have trialled and been accepted into the Manchester City Football School at St Dominic’s, uphold the values of the College at all times. Any student who does not commit to their academic and service commitments may be withdrawn from the Football School Program.
