Dear Parents and Caregivers,

I hope you and your family are keeping safe and healthy.  I pray that all our students have been able to recharge and refresh over the holiday break in readiness for their return to online learning, initially, and then to onsite learning.

As was communicated late last term, the NSW Government have indicated that original return to onsite learning plan has been brought forward a week.  Therefore, the dates I communicated with the community at the end of last term have also been brought forward a week.  While these dates have changed, St Dominic’s continues to operate under Level 4 plus restrictions, thus our return roadmap is still dependent on the Public Health Orders changing and moving to Level 3 restrictions.

The ‘SDC Return to School Roadmap’ will continue to be staged over a three-week period with all students returning during Week 6. The NSW Health advice continues to stress that it is safest for students to return in stages rather than all at once. Our roadmap continues to reflect this staged approach. I have indicated all the date changes in red for easy referral for parents/caregivers.

The safe return of staff and students remains paramount.  Year 12 students will continue to take priority ensuring they receive the necessary support in preparation for the HSC Written Examinations and that these exams can be completed without any COVID-19 challenges.

Please click here to view the revised ‘SDC Return to School Roadmap’. This information details updated dates (in red) and key information relevant to our return to onsite learning.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Michael Ronchetti – College Principal
