Dear Parents and Caregivers,

I hope you are all well and that online learning is progressing as well as possible for our students.

Following the Premier’s announcement yesterday (28 July 2021) that lockdown and online learning will continue for another four weeks, it was important that I communicated with you, our planning moving forward.  I am very mindful that at this stage, information is still very limited and I am unable to provide definite answers, especially for Year 12 students and their families.

I will be involved in several meetings during the coming two days to discuss the situation. I also expect to receive official advice from Catholic Schools NSW and NSW Health, which will assist in answering the questions we all have, and how things will look in the future for us at St Dominic’s College.

Further communication regarding our plan moving forward will be distributed by Monday, 2nd August.

We will also be holding a special MS Teams briefing with Year 12 students at 8.35am on Monday morning, to provide them with the latest information.  A Canvas notification will be sent by Mrs Knowles to notify Year 12 students of this meeting.

I would like to thank the St Dominic’s community for their understanding and patience during these challenging times.

Please do not hesitate to make contact with your child’s Pastoral Coordinator, or if you have a subject specific question or concern, their KLAC.

Stay healthy, stay safe and God Bless.

Mr Michael Ronchetti – College Principal
