A number of Year 10 students recently had the opportunity to participate in the CSIRO STEM taster program run by Nepean College.
The STEM taster is a special blend of training and hands on activities delivered by expert STEM TAFE teachers.
They provided our students with an opportunity to gain industry experience and employability skills, giving our students ideas about future Careers.
St Dominic’s College would like to thank TAFE NSW and CSIRO for partnering with our school to enable this learning experience.
The program explored two STEM streams in the following TAFE NSW delivery areas; STEM Stream 1 – Nursing / General Health / Dental Assisting / Sterilisation. STEM Stream 2 – Manufacturing / Engineering, Technology and Design Thinking.
It was a really great and unique opportunity. Our teachers were great. Everyone was really helpful and I recommend this experience to others like me!
