Founders’ Week has culminated today with a full College Mass, celebrating our founding icons, Blessed Edmund Rice and St Dominic Savio.

Through our Mass and sacred celebration, students reflected on the true values of our Founders and acknowledged ways in which we can make a difference by giving back to our community.

The College also celebrated staff whose efforts of long service were recognised. In particular, we thank Mr Naicker for his 30 years of dedicated service to St Dominic’s College.

The following staff members were recognised:

Mr Naicker – 30 years service

Mrs Tyrrell – 25 years service

Mr Luke Borg – 15 years service

Mr Ravinesh Lal – 15 years service

Ms Lister – 15 years service

Ms Gorham – 15 years service

Ms Wells  – 15 years service

Students then supplied a delicious multicultural lunch, representing our diverse culture at St Dominic’s College.

Throughout the week, we have seen a number of activities based on our key EREA Touchstones, in particular Inclusive Community through our Mother’s Day Mass and Justice and Solidarity, resulting in students and staff raising funds for The Cancer Council.

It has been a wonderful celebratory Founders’ Week. We thank staff and students for their efforts in making Founders’ Week a success.
