This month provided another productive beginning to the Term with many significant pastoral events. Thank you to all the staff and students who contributed to these events which included our house activities, peer support program, social day and camp. Big thanks to our College Prefects for their help and support with the social day.
Year 12 Social Day with Caroline Chisholm College
On the 23rd of May 2018, St Dominic’s College hosted a senior social day with Caroline Chisholm College. The day began with both College captains lighting their respected candles, followed by a welcome and prayer about gratitude, for both Colleges, and families. We also reflected on the next few months leading to the final HSC assessments with the need for hard work, determination and collaboration.
Activities that followed included a trivia organised by the St Dominic’s College Prefects. Trivia was well directed by our College Captain, Trent Weir. A community lunch followed, with a variety of pizzas on offer for the two Colleges to share and could interact over a meal. After lunch, some additional interactive games were played to conclude the day. Thank you to the staff and students of Year 12 who supported and made the day a huge success.
House Update
The Br Jeff Regan House Cup had a few initiatives over May including events from Founders’ Week. A big thank you to all the students and teachers who contributed in the many activities throughout the week, concluding with the Waterford Mile and Callan Cup.
