Dharuk House Hosts Happy Red Day
On 14 February, Dharuk House hosted Happy Red Day, also known as Valentine’s Day.
At St. Dominic’s we link the day to heart health, aiming to raise awareness.
For the second year running, St Dominic’s has supported this event by having fitness challenges. We gathered in the quadrangle to jump rope to raise our heart rates.
The skipping challenge was open to the entire College community and there was a big turnout of participants across all Houses. To start of the event the House Prefects took up the skipping challenge. The aim was to be the last man standing.
The winner of the Prefect Challenge was from Surawski – Aaron Riley. There was enough students and staff present to complete three rounds of the challenges. The results are as follows:
PLACE | HOUSE | ACCUMULATED POINTS |
ALLOCATED HOUSE POINTS |
FIRST |
DHARUK | 68 points | 100 |
SECOND |
SURAWSKI | 59 points | 75 |

Thank you for everyone who participated on the day getting into the spirit of RED by jumping rope and helping your heart or acting in the HAPPY RED DAY video based on Pharrell Williams’ song “Happy”.
