College Swimming Carnival 2019
The College Swimming Carnival was held on Tuesday 26th February at Ripples St Mary’s. In contrast to years gone by, the weather could not have been any better for our College Carnival. The day was underway from 9am, commencing with our 100m Freestyle events.
It was fantastic to see our House Coordinators dressing up and drumming up participation in each of the events. In the interval between events, our College House Captains took to the pool to earn bonus House points in the maiden voyage of the floatie race. After some confusion surrounding the rules, the Captains finally made it to the opposite end triumphantly with their coloured floaties. It was fantastic to see students enjoying the day, yet fiercely competing for the podium positions.
Thank you to staff, parents and students who attended the day. The MCS Swimming Carnival will be held on 20th March at Sydney Olympic Park.
Congratulations to Mrs Birkett and the Surawski House who were crowned Swimming Carnival Champions for 2019. Furthermore, congratulations must also be extended to our Swimming Age Champions for 2019:
