Congratulations to our Year 8 MCS Touch Football Team
A lot of expectations were placed on the shoulders of the Year 8 MCS Touch Football Team in 2019, after finishing last season undefeated. We had a great start to the season, winning all 6 round games. We met Schofields in the semi-finals and played our best game of the season. The boys played extremely well and won 6-1 to proceed into their second grand final.
We played Parramatta Marist in the Grand Final, who we beat 8-1 in the round games, but knowing they had a couple of their representative players out when we played them the first time, it would be a different match. Parramatta scored the first try in the match, but the St Dominic’s boys did not give up and went into half time, 2-2. A couple of small changes in our plans of attack, we dominated the second half and won 4-2.
Congratulations to all the boys in the Year 8 MCS Touch Football Team. Thank you to Mr McKay for his assistance as the Manager of the team this year.
