On Monday and Tuesday of this week, Year 8 took part in our annual Surf Education Excursion at Manly Beach.
The boys participated in a number of activities including open water swimming, body surfing, board riding and learning about rescue and survival techniques in the ocean. The boys also learnt how to read water conditions and how to identify a rip.
The excursion was an extremely valuable experience for the Year 8 boys, many of whom don’t visit the beach very often. The boys found the excursion to be very fun with the most enjoyable activity trying to learn to surf.
