Vietnam Veterans Day, held on Thursday 18th of August is the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan which took place 56 years ago.
This year we attended the commemorative service that was held by the Vietnam Veterans Outpost at St Mary’s Diggers Club.
It was a moving ceremony and we were extremely excited to be accompanied by St Dominic’s College Alumni and Vietnam Veteran Mr Noel McLaughlin OAM, who spent the evening with Kennedy, Samuel and Christian, three of our 2023 Prefect Leaders who represented the College for the service.
