
The Land of the Rising Sun is calling…..
On Wednesday, 20 August at 5:30pm, St Dominic’s College will be hosting an online Information Session via Microsoft Teams for parents of students who are interested in participating in the 2026 Japan Immersion Tour during the April school holidays.
The purpose of the 2026 Japan Immersion Tour is to strengthen each students’ sense of identity, foster acceptance, broaden their perspectives and develop their communication skills beyond language barriers.
Students will be introduced to and immersed in Japanese language, culture and history, and experience Japan’s unique synthesis of tradition and modernity.
The proposed tour will include visits to historically and culturally significant sites in Osaka, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Kyoto and Tokyo.
There will also be an opportunity to engage with local students and experience Japanese school life.
The trip will be open to any student who will be in Years 9-12 in 2026.
The Information Session will include detailed information about the tour itinerary, the associated costs, and the application process involved to participate. Parents and students will also be able to ask any questions they may have.
