Literacy Framework
During Literacy and Numeracy Week we would like to promote key elements of our Literacy Framework.
TEEEC
In 2018 we are focussing on writing with particular reference to our TEEEC scaffold which is used explicitly in Years 7-9 across all courses. This scaffold which is consistently applied across all courses in promoting deeper thought and engagement in extended responses. Take the time this week to discuss how he uses TEEEC in his courses.
Vocabulary Lists
Every topic, of every course, in every year group, contains a Vocabulary List (see your son’s Canvas Syllabus page) that is used to deepen his understanding of key terminology associated to his learning. These are much more than spelling lists and the students are called to define and apply these key terms in their studies.
