The Year 9 Elective Food Technology classes have recently completed their second unit – Foods for Special Occasions.  Food is an important component of many special occasions and the students had the opportunity to explore a range of special occasions including social, cultural, religious and family.  The final assessment requires the students to plan a child’s birthday party and present part of the menu in class.

The groups presented some creative menu items with particular focus on food presentation.

Overall it was a great effort.
