This year, our College Lenten Appeal is intended to offer our students the opportunity to assist Caritas in providing some of society’s most vulnerable people with the support that they need for a better future.

13% of Cambodians live below the poverty line and have limited access to educational resources such as books and stationery.

This is why, in 2020, the proceeds of the St. Dominic’s College Lenten Appeal will be donated to Project Compassion to assist in providing Cambodian students with a better opportunity to receive education and to work towards being voices of change for their own communities.

Just $1 can buy one workbook for a child attending school in Cambodia.

We are asking that each student contributes $10.00 to the Lenten Appeal – the equivalent of just 25c per day for the duration of Lent, in order to help students in Cambodia find their voice.

Our College is also only too aware of the devastation that has rocked our own nation over the last six months; this is why this year in addition to our Caritas Lenten Campaign we will also be donating $50 from the proceeds of each homeroom to the Vinnies Bushfire appeal.
