In the third week of our College Term, we celebrated our founding icons Blessed Edmund Rice and St Dominic Savio through Founder’s Week. Throughout the week, we undertook numerous activities which reflected the Catholic values and virtues that the College has been founded upon. We commenced with homeroom trivia where  College students put their knowledge of the founders to work, battling for victory.

Competition continued through the fierce lunchtime games where students tested their skills in golf, basketball, and rugby league, with those victorious gaining points for their represented house. Celebrations continued with our Founders’ Day Mass where the lives of St Dominic Savio and Blessed Edmund Rice were celebrated throughout the mass.

Through reverent prayer and sacred celebration, students reflected on the true values of our founders and acknowledged ways in which we can all be like our founders.

Within this mass, the College also celebrated staff whose efforts of long service were recognised. The College gave gratitude to Mr Passlow who has dedicated 38 years of service  which was expressed through a roar of student applause and cheers. After the conclusion of our mass, students celebrated the end of the week through House BBQ’s hosted by our amazing house representatives.

Overall, the action-packed week was a success and reminded us of our founding icons of St Dominic Savio and Blessed Edmund Rice and the incredible lives they have lived.
