‘In Australia, Men’s Health Week provides a platform for challenging and debating key issues in men’s health and to raise the profile of men, their health outcomes and health needs around the country each June’.
Committed to ensuring student wellbeing and the issues surrounding mental health, St Dominic’s College celebrated Men’s Health Week today during Waterford Wednesday.
Students engaged and participated in a number of activities, focussed on raising awareness surrounding issues relating to men’s health:
Year 7 – Mental Health (Dr Seuss – ‘The Places You Will Go’)
Year 8 – Activity on self esteem
Year 9 – Wellness Walk
Year 10 – Beyond Blue support and connectiveness
Year 11 – Leadership
Year 12 – Anxiety and exam preparation
Activities will continue during the week with Surawski Beyond Blue Day being held this Friday, 18 June.
