THEME: CELEBRATE WHAT’S RIGHT WITH THE WORLD
During Term 2, Year 8 Visual Arts students were required to submit a series of photographs that responded to the concept: “Celebrate What’s Right with the World”.
Students investigated the work of Dewitt Jones, photojournalist for the National Geographic.
Jones challenges us to see the world as providing possibilities.
Photography provides the camera user with a way of giving others insight into the way we see the world. Great photographs should make us see our world in new ways and appreciate something that we may have overlooked.
The photographic works submitted in Semester 1 by Year 8 collectively were excellent. Congratulations to all students who took on the challenge.
