Congratulations to the St Dominic’s College PDSSSC Tennis Team who represented the Parramatta Diocese as wildcards at the NSWCCC Tennis Team Championships in Bathurst on Monday, 29th May. The students braved the freezing temperatures, playing in 6 degrees for the majority of the day. In addition, the team not only battled opponents but also the elements, as wind, rain and sunshine rolled in and out throughout the day.

Led by Captain Alexander G (Year 10) the team, Darby W (Year 9), Xavier C (Year 7) and Luka K (Year 7), battled fiercely and produced some truly impressive performances and outstanding results against the best schools from varying dioceses in NSW. As a team they competed in both singles and doubles matches which pushed them physically and mentally. The team came away placing 5th in the overall standings. This is a first in the College’s history that a tennis team has reached the NSWCCC level and is a testament to their talent and perseverance. We’ll be back next year, bigger, better and stronger.

St Dominic’s would like to extend our gratitude to the parents who travelled with the team to ensure that the team was well rested and prepared for the event. We greatly appreciate your support of the team and the sport.
