On Wednesday 5th September St.Dominic’s College celebrated National PDHPE Day. Before school there was free fruit for the boys to start the day in a healthy way. Needless to say the large boxes of fruit were all eaten within 15 minutes!

At recess there was a Cricket catching competition ran by Mr.Kennedy-Gould and Mr. Magerison. In a closely contested final between Zac Agbere and 1st XI captain Trent Weir, Zac came out on top with a classic one handed catch to win the final!

Also at recess was a Basketball 3-point Shooting Competition on the Basketball Courts ran by Mr.Kilbourne and Miss Cook. With a big crowd watching on there was a huge upset in the final with young gun, William Ezekiel of Year 7 draining a big three pointer to defeat 1st V captain Sam Pares.

At lunch time there was a Rugby League Crossbar challenge ran by Mr.Peake in the Hall due to the wet weather. Once again the competition was intense as Year 9 boys Aden Lehn and Jimmy Donnelly made the final against 1st XIII captain Immanuel Tagalamatoa. After some very close chances from Aden and Jimmy, Immanuel prevailed to be crowned crossbar challenge champion for 2018!

Thanks for a great inaugural National PDHPE Day!
