The HSIE Department provides various course throughout Stage 4, 5 & 6. There are numerous opportunities within HSIE for students to explore their own areas of interested and excel as an independent learner. Across the broad range of disciplines on offer, each subject provides a powerful context to enhance key competencies including the investigation, interpretation, and communication of information and ideas. The acquisition of higher-order critical thinking and analysis skills required for further education and for life in the workforce is encouraged. Multiple incursions and excursions are available for students to enhance their learning in the key HSIE subject areas. These include: WW1 – Fighting the Kaiser, Vietnam – Dusted Off, Medieval Show, Blue Mountains and Pyrmont field trips.
