It has been a very busy start to 2019 in the Careers office. From many students seeking advice on gaining casual jobs to Year 12 students starting to plan for the HSC and post school pathways.

This year the key focus is employability skills and academic qualifications. Students are encouraged to think about the various ways they can upskill and use the skills they have in the classroom to plan their career pathway.

Jobjump (careers website): Students are encouraged to explore the careers website – Jobjump. The website helps students explore the many and varied careers and professions, through videos and links to industry webpages. I have sent all students information on how to register via our College canvas page.

Careers in Law: The Year 12 legal studies class had the opportunity to visit the Downing Centre, Sydney this week to observe court room proceedings and gain insights into the various professions in the legal system. We were very fortunate to have Justice Pickering speak with our students about his career pathway and the role of a criminal court judge working in one of the busiest courts in NSW.
