A tough loss this morning by 6 to Westfields in the gold medal game . Unfortunately they skipped out to a good lead early and despite reclaiming the lead late in the game we were unable to claim gold. So very proud of the boys not only of their efforts today but for literally months of training, time and effort they have put in. Second in Australia is still a mighty effort.
Can I also publicly thank all those who have sent messages of support either directly or through Facebook. It really did lift the spirit of the boys.
Thank you to Mrs Birkett for the non stop effort down here. Despite being unwell all responsibilities (manager, mum, nurse, shrink, cook, coach, anger management and all the rest) were handled perfectly. Looking forward to getting home now- it’s been a long week.
