Congratulations to both Charlie Connell and Max Blackhurst.
Charlie and Max had a fantastic time on tour as part of the under 14s Australian football team.
A week of games every day, early morning starts, bus trips from field to field, thunder storms and intense heat whilst learning to bond with players they had never met and form a team which they did so well.
Undefeated they played a Fiji team in the grand final winning 6-0.
Charlie scored 4 and assisted 2. He played his number 10 position that day after a week of many positions.
The team was so humble and a great group of boys.
Both Max and Charlie got to be captains on the first day of the mini comp before the tournament started.
Which we won that round Robbin.
The boys loved the opportunity to visit a village, give donations, experience a welcome prayer and of course a game of local football.
Both boys love their Football and to play in the Australian team and to give back to others and support FIFA is a great opportunity.
To top the tour off Charlie was one of three boys selected as “All Stars Player” of the tournament.
