My thanks to Fr Gregory for leading us in a wonderful mass that challenged us all to build upon strong foundations like love, respect, compassion, hope and justice. We had all of our Year 12 students involved in the Ceremony of Light, to start the Mass, each bringing a candle into the sacred space to represent how their gifts will light up the world.
We also had students lead us in prayer, proclaim the reading and present the gospel and the gifts of bread and wine. Many staff have commented that this showed the reverence they have for our Catholic tradition but also the respect they had for their fellow class-mates as they recognised the solemnity of saying farewell.
