We are currently studying the Biophysical Environment in Year 11 Geography. As part of this unit, we are exploring the impacts of bushfires on the biophysical environment.

We travelled up to the Blue Mountains on Monday, 1st March to investigate the impact of the 2019/20 Bushfires and to see how the bush is regenerating itself. We also explored the different types of contemporary and traditional methods of bushfire management.

We travelled to Hazelbrook, Woodford, Lawson, Blackheath, Mount Victoria, Bell and Lithgow to see for ourselves, how devastating the 2019/20 bushfires were on the biophysical environment and community in the Blue Mountains.
