St Dominic’s College continues to celebrate Literacy and Numeracy Week with a range of activities proving to be incredibly popular with our students, the result being a high level of engagement and participation across all Year Groups.
Today, our Year 7 and 8 students participated in our annual Maths Olympiad and ‘Write a Book in a Day’ competition.
Write a Book in a Day is a fun, creative and collaborative competition for students, teaming up in groups of up to 10 to write and illustrate a book from start to finish. To make it even more fun, unique parameters must be included in the story. Students have just 12 hours to complete their book. This year we have seen the highest number of students participating in this event.
We thank our students and staff for creating a wonderful learning environment and celebrating the spirit of Literacy and Numeracy Week.
