St Dominic’s College welcomed our new Year 7 Cohort, marking the commencement of an exciting high school journey for the eager students. The first day centred around introducing students to the inclusive community at Dom’s.

With a focus on fostering a sense of community and support, Year 7 students engaged in meaningful interactions with their Year 11 Peer Support buddies. Together, they explored strategies for navigating the challenges of high school life, discussed ways to overcome obstacles, and took the initial steps towards building lasting connections. This introduction to life at Dom’s not only set a positive tone for the academic year but also created a sense of camaraderie among the students.

As Year 7 embarks on this transformative journey, the entire St Dominic’s College community eagerly anticipates sharing in their experiences and growth. The bond formed between Year 7 and their Peer Support buddies on the first day is a promising start, laying the foundation for a supportive network that will undoubtedly play a crucial role in the students’ high school years. The enthusiasm displayed by both the new cohort and their older peers fosters a sense of unity and excitement, creating an environment where learning and personal development go hand in hand. St Dominic’s College is excited to witness the continued success and achievements of the Year 7 students as they navigate the path ahead.
