Term 1 Reports: Year 12 Half Yearly and Term 1 Interim Reports
In 2019, College Reports will be provided electronically to all parents. For Term 1, College Reports will be emailed directly to parents. To ensure parent details are correct the College conducted a Census at the beginning of term. Therefore, if any parent has yet to clarify their contact details during this process or they have changed since the census, then they are encouraged to complete a Change of Details form via the College website/APP.
Student, Parent, Teacher Interviews & Canvas Parent Workshops Term 2
These compulsory interviews are scheduled on the following dates:
- Wednesday 1st May (Week 1 Term 2): Year 11 and 12 Student, Parent, Teacher Interview Evening – 3:30pm to 8:00pm
- Monday 13th May (Week 3 Term 2): Year 7 to 10 Student, Parent, Teacher Interviews Day – 9am to 7:30pm
In addition, the College will again be providing Canvas Parent & Student support workshops on the Year 7 to 10 Student, Parent, Teacher Interviews Day
Parents will be issued shortly with a letter and information via the College website/app concerning booking teacher interviews and Canvas Parent and Student support workshops details.
Year 10 Minimum Standards Testing
The New South Wales Educational Standards Authority (NESA) requires all Year 10 students to reach a minimum literacy and numeracy standard before they are eligible for the award of the Higher School Certificate (HSC). All current Year 10 students will therefore be required to sit for and pass the NESA Online Literacy and Numeracy Tests during Week 10 of Term 1. The schedule for these tests is shown below:
- 2nd April – Reading
- 3rd April – Writing
- 5th April – Numeracy

Visible Learning at St Dominic’s College
As we continue to invest in this strategic priority for our College we have surveyed our students on their own perceptions of their learning. Here are some questions that you may wish to discuss with your son in engaging with his learning?

Microsoft and STEAM
As our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) program continues to grow at the College so too is our relationship with Microsoft. Microsoft Education and St Dominic’s College have formed an ongoing partnership in developing our students understanding and skills in a number of new Apps developed by Microsoft specifically for STEAM students.
