On Thursday, 2 July students in Year’s 9 and 10 PDHPE/PASS classes got the opportunity to experience and learn about para-sports from the Wheelchair Sports NSW Roadshow.

Students had a mini presentation about the importance of being active even if you have a disability and the idea that risk-taking behaviour, can not only affect you, but everyone who is involved within your life.

Students were then privileged to experience first-hand, wheelchair Basketball, which give them a taste of what para-sports is actually like and a true appreciation of the athleticism of those who play.

Students were thoroughly engaged and gave positive feedback about the day.
