YEAR 8 – Visual Arts Semester Two
Photography Competition Winners – Celebrate what’s right with the world
During Term 4, Year 8 Visual Arts students were required to submit a photograph that responded to the concept: “Celebrate What’s Right with the World”.
Students investigated the work of Dewitt Jones, photojournalist for the National Geographic. Jones challenges us to see the world as providing possibilities. Photography provides the camera user with a way of giving other insight into the way we see the world. Great photographs should make us see the world in new ways and appreciate something that we may have overlooked.
We congratulate all students who took on the challenge. The top 30 finalists are displayed on the College website.
