YEAR 7 CAMP
Your son will be attending the St Dominic’s College Year 7 Camp at the Great Aussie Bush Camp, Sth Kincumber, between Monday, 16th – Wednesday, 18th February 2026.

JACARANDA DIGITAL TEXTBOOK BUNDLE
The Jacaranda Digital Bundle is a high-value package that provides access to 14 premium digital resources across eight core curriculum subjects (including Mathematics, Science, English, PDHPE, History and Geography). These digital textbooks are a compulsory part of each student’s learning equipment in Years 7 to 10. For 2026, your son will also receive a physical copy of his Mathematics and Science Textbooks.
The cost of this bundle is included in the College Fee Schedule. Once setup in 2026, your son will be able to seamlessly log in to Jacaranda through our Canvas Portal.
STUDENT HP LAPTOP – BYOD DEVICE
HP has worked with St Dominic’s College since 2016 on their BYOD program. With this, you are required to purchase your son’s device via the HP sales portal. this provides you with a device that is under warranty with three Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) claims over the duration of the warranty of the device. With no excess fees for claims and all serviced onsite at the College in accordance with the HP Service Level Agreement.
All use of a student’s personal device while accessing College systems and environment is done so in accordance with our BYOD User Agreement. The device specifications have been carefully developed to ensure your son has 100% access to all learning resources in all areas of learning of the College.
On Wednesday, 14th January 2026 an email will be sent to you with personalised login details for your son – this will include your son’s student ID number, login email and initial password. Please ensure your son has an accessible copy of these login details for his first day at the College.

COMPASS
The Compass Parent Portal is an online portal that allows you to access up-to-date information about our College and your child’s progress.
The portal is accessible via the web and also via the Compass School Manager App (available for download via the App store on your device).
Please note that our Student Learning Management System, Canvas remains in place for student and staff access and learning.

NSW SCHOOL VACCINATION PROGRAM 2026
Each year NSW Health works in partnership with schools to offer the vaccines recommended by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) for adolescents as part of the school vaccination program.
Year 7 Vaccination Information Packs will be sent to families in early 2026. Please note that if your son is not available on the day, catch up sessions will also be offered throughout the year.
APPLY FOR A SCHOOL TRAVEL PASS OR OPAL CARD
If your child lives more than 2.0 kilometres straight line distance or at least 2.9 kilometres walking distance from the College, they will require an Opal Card for public transport.
If your child already has a School Opal Card, you will need to update for the new school year before the end of 2025.
Travel Pass and Opal Card applications are now open. Please ensure you have completed your applications prior to the end of Term 4.
