Years 9 to 12 Students Visit Internationally Renowned Photography Exhibition

On Monday the 6th May years 9, 10, 11 and 12 Photography and Digital Media elective students travelled to Sydney for the Head On photography exhibition at Paddington Town Hall.

We were met by Creative Director Moshe Rosenzveig who provided insights to the exhibition. There are over 100 exhibitions taking place across Sydney during the Head On festival.

The high calibre of works by international photographers references a range of contemporary themes and social issues. Students also participated in a photography workshop lead by Sydney based photographer, Charles McKean. Photographing in the beautiful grounds of the Paddington Reservoir Gardens and surrounding streets to gain further photographic skills.

After a quick lunch in Chinatown, students continued their photoshoot in the Sydney Chinese Gardens developing an eye for compositions with reflections, simplicity and natural beauty.

The day finished with a walk to Ultimo to photography the UTS, Dr Chau Chak Wing Building designed by one of the world’s most celebrated architects, Frank Gerhy.

We look forward to viewing some of the works created on this day in the upcoming Art Exhibition in Term 3.
