Thank you so much to the students and staff who supported me during my recent 24hr tennis a thon fundraiser, for the Leukaemia Foundation.

The event was a huge success raising a total of $8,019.60

The money was raised through my Go Fund Me page, private donations, games and barbeque at the event, and through the sale of raffle tickets.

Having so many St Dominic’s staff and some students coming down to the courts, playing some tennis and joining in the fun, was a great motivator to push through any fatigue that I had. Thank you! The most difficult time was between 2am and 6am, but I had a small group of 6 who stayed the night and kept me going – even using their car headlights when the court lights malfunctioned for about 20 minutes.

The raffle draw saw five St Dominic’s staff/ student, winning a prize from a total of 18 prizes.

Mrs Bright – ‘ Partylite’ scented candle package

Takarda Gazoumba (Yr 12) – double pass to the Burning Lodge Comedy Theatre Restaurant at Windsor

Mrs Haydon – Family Pass AMF Bowling and Laser Skirmish

Mrs Day – Drought Relief Farmers Cookbook

Mrs Armstrong – Umbrella

Congratulations to all winners.

The Leukaemia Foundation have also asked me to thank you for your support. They are very grateful.

My mate, Scott, and I have been overwhelmed with the support we have received. Thank you.
